DHX Media Expands Its Global Distribution Footprint Through Digital Video & Music Distribution Deals With The Orchard

Distribution of the DHX digital video catalog to span US, Latin America, South Africa, Europe, Australia and New Zealand
Global digital music distribution deal includes more than 2,000 tracks
Halifax, Los Angeles, London, Toronto Vancouver, New York – April 1, 2015 – DHX Media, a key player internationally in the creation of content for families and children, has teamed up with The Orchard, a pioneering music, video and film distribution company, for a multi-year electronic sell-through (EST) agreement which will see The Orchard distribute more than 8,000 episodes of DHX Media’s library content along with additional newly produced and acquired series during the course of the relationship. The deal covers the US, Latin America, South Africa, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, in multiple languages. Additionally, The Orchard will be the worldwide digital distributor of more than 2,000 tracks of children’s music from DHX’s current library.

The digital music distribution deal will see The Orchard offering music from such brands as Caillou, Busy World of Richard Scarry, The Doodlebops, Strawberry Shortcake, In the Night Garden and many more. The Orchard has global deals with the largest digital movie and television storefronts, reaching more than 200 million paying customers through its retail network, which includes iTunes, Comcast, DirecTV, DISH, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Sony, M-GO, Vudu, Spotify, Pandora, Google Play and many others.
