NXNE

North by Northeast [NXNE] is Canada’s biggest and most important music festival. TapeOpCon2005

An outgrowth of Tape Op Magazine, an independent creative music recording magazine, TapeOpCon was conceived as a convention for recording enthusiasts, from well-respected producers and engineers to beginners. Now in its fourth year, the convention is scheduled for June 10-12 in New Orleans. Panels include tech-centric discussions like "Vocal Recording / Compressor Use," "EQ Workshop" and "Transformers: Design and Application," plus broader topics like "Recording the Solo Artist" and "Why Record for a Living?" Confirmed bands performing as part of TapeOpCon2005: Shellac and Low.
