Mona Fimreite Named The Orchard’s International Sales And Marketing Director, Europe

Oslo, Norway and London, UK – March 21, 2018 – Today The Orchard announced the appointment of Mona Fimreite to lead its European Marketing and Sales team.
Fimreite is a nine-year veteran of the international music business, having worked in both the major and independent sectors. Mona joins The Orchard from Oslo-headquartered Phonofile, where she led marketing efforts. In her new role, she will continue to strengthen and evolve her close relationships with global accounts, working with the European sales and marketing teams to drive key releases and ensure the company’s 10 marketing offices across the region operate in lockstep, maximizing opportunity and engagement.
Fimreite has a unique skillset, with a broad background in software development and computer science. After five years working in digital marketing and e-commerce, she joined Sony Music Norway in 2009 and began to apply her training to the music business. She was involved in the conceptualization and establishment of the global playlist engine brand “Filtr.” After joining Phonofile in 2013, she took a major role in developing the company’s internal and external marketing and analytics toolset. From there, Phonofile evolved from a music delivery platform into a comprehensive service that offers digital marketing solutions to labels and artists.
In her new role, she will continue to evolve her music and tech trajectory, utilizing all six of her language fluencies while traversing the continent and the UK to represent The Orchard and lead its regional sales and marketing efforts.

Fimreite has previous experience planning and executing successful pan-regional campaigns for artists and labels. Past projects include Charlie Cunningham, Highasakite and Karpe (Diem), as well as local marketing campaigns under Sony Music Norway working with artists such as Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and One Direction. Fimreite has been a guest professor at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and has given keynotes at industry events in Europe, US and Africa, focused on the future of the music industry.
