Kaushiki Chakrabarty, Pure – Indian / World (Sense World Music )
Young North Indian classical vocalist Kaushiki Chakrabarty was recently awarded a 2005 BBC Radio 3 World Music Award for the Asia/Pacific region. She has been called "one of the very few classical vocalists who will make a mark in the 21st century" by legendary Hindustani vocalist Bhimsen Joshi. BBC 3 will host a poll winners' concert on March 5th in the U.K., which will be broadcast later on Radio 3 and BBC Four TV. Congratulations to Kaushiki and Sense World Music!

Soulive, Live in NYC (July 2004) – Jazz (Pirate Records)
When a band becomes well-known for its danceable, organ-driven instrumental groove-jazz, it also becomes a magnet for top-notch vocalists looking for a smokin' backing band. So naturally, Soulive was thrilled when both Ivan Neville and Chaka Khan hopped onstage during a Knitting Factory set in Los Angeles last month for several renditions of Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder tunes. Catch Soulive's New York and Massachusettes gigs this month - you never know who will drop in! Visit www.soulive.com for tour dates

Scout Cloud Lee, Love Medicine – Folk (Rise N' Shine Productions)
Scout Cloud Lee was one of the final three contestants on last season’s popular Survivor: Vanuatu CBS TV series. Aside from her achievements as a motivational speaker, author, entrepreneur, Olympic torch-bearer, university professor and television personality, Scout has also recorded four impressive albums of self-described "country rock gypsy funk." Love Medicine is the Oklahoma-based singer/songwriter's latest CD.
