ORCHARD MUSIC SERVICES

The Orchard continues to seek new sync licensing opportunities for our catalogue in films, television shows, and commercials. We have a dedicated team of content professionals who are focused in matching up our clients with that “right” song for their needs – whether it’s a huge hit or a rare gem.

Some recent placements:

  • John Tucker Must Die - Feature Film - Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp. licensed Hedy McDonald’s cover of the Paul Simon song “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” [Warwick Records] for use in the major motion picture “John Tucker Must Die,” which stars Ashanti and is directed by Betty Thomas (Charlie’s Angels, Can’t Hardly Wait).

Orchard Music Services worked directly with Alexandra Patsavas, founder of Chop Shop Music Supervision, to broker the use. At Chop Shop, Alex has music supervised the TV shows "Roswell," "Carnivale," "Boston Public," “Grey’s Anatomy” and "Fastlane," and the films "Happy, Texas" and "Wasted.” Chop Shop also produced the soundtracks for "Grey's Anatomy," "The OC," and "Roswell." The critically acclaimed "Music from the OC" soundtrack series (Mixes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) have sold over a million copies worldwide.

In “John Tucker Must Die” (
