NEW MOBILE PARTNER

The Orchard continues to dominate the mobile space. Here's an exciting new mobile partnership that expands our unmatched ringtone distribution network into the world of full-length track downloads.

GROOVE MOBILE - US
Massachusetts-based Groove Mobile supplies full-length track downloads [not ringtone clips, but entire original master recordings] to the UK's leading mobile music service, Orange [UK], in addition to carriers like Telenor [Norway], ERA [Poland], T-Mobile [Hungary], Pannon [Hungary], Eurotel [Czech Republic] and SRR Reunion [France]. Groove has also developed advanced software that facilitates digital music transfers between from computer to mobile handset and vice-versa. Groove Mobile will supply a portion of The Orchard's catalogue to its European partners for full-track mobile downloads.

NEW IN-STORE PLACEMENTS

Our Marketing and Merchandising team works daily to connect cool music from around the world to audiences on distant shores. Here are only a handful of recent results of The Orchard's ongoing global promotional extravaganza.

1) Shiv Kumar Sharma's album The Elements: Water topped iTunes Greece's Top 10 World Music Album Chart, in addition to making Top 10 lists in France, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Spain. Tracks from the album also appeared on iTunes' Top 10 Singles Charts in Finland, Greece, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.

2) The Orchard-assembled Kenya Music Sampler - a collection of tracks culled from the extensive library of The Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) - was prominently featured on eMusic this month. The compilation was a smashing success; it made #1 on eMusic's PowerChart for the most downloaded album of the day.

3) More iTunes wins from around the world: The Orchard catalogue notched 133 placements on iTunes Australia, including multiple titles on their Children's Music page. Canadian classical music label Analekta received major placements on iTunes Canada. And iTunes Spain featured Novalima's album Afro on its homepage and on its Latin Music homepage.

Here in the US, The Orchard continues to generate great placements for our artists and labels:

4) Napster US featured three Delicious Vinyl placements on its homepage. Two Delicious Vinyl albums also made eMusic's Top New Albums chart.

5) Laura Cantrell's album Not The Trembling Kind was featured as a staff pick on the Real Rhapsody homepage.
