NEW STORES AND MOBILE PARTNERS

A week doesn't pass around here without a new digital music store joining our vast distribution network. Here are several new store and partner additions from the past few weeks:

ITUNES - JAPAN
You may have heard the news that Apple launched an iTunes Music Store in Japan this month. The new store sold one million downloads in just four days of operation, making it the #1 online music store in Japan. Apple CEO Steve Jobs noted, "iTunes has sold twice as many songs in just four days as all the other online music services in Japan sell in one month." Most of The Orchard's catalogue is available on the Japan iTunes Music Store now. The remainder should be available by the end of September.

REGGAE COUNTRY - US
Reggae Country sells WMA-protected reggae downloads and offers four free streaming radio stations: Dancehall, Oldies, Lovers Rock and Roots Rock. Reggae Country also offers the latest reggae entertainment news, artist information and a free Video Lounge that contains over 100 videos. The Orchard's reggae catalog of 500+ albums and 6,850+ tracks will be available on Reggae Country by the end of September.

MIS ROLAS - US, MEXICO, EUROPE
Mis Rolas - which loosely translates to "my tunes" - is a new website exclusively dedicated to selling Latin music downloads. Co-founded by Hugo Gonzalez [Univision Music Publishing] and songwriter / producer / manager Grant Goad ["El Premio ASCAP" winner], Mis Rolas sells individual track downloads and full album downloads. It also hosts chat rooms and contributions from music writers worldwide. The Orchard's Latin music catalog of 450+ albums and 6,250+ tracks will be available on Mis Rolas by the end of September.
