Position: Product Manager, Classical

Job description:

Within this role you will serve as the main point-of-contact and internal advocate for a core group of Orchard-distributed classical labels. Primary responsibilities include building and maintaining client relationships, securing complete catalogue assets (audio, artwork, label copy, release schedule, one sheets), ensuring that releases efficiently complete encoding, delivery, and activation processes to meet street dates, creating priority release marketing and merchandising plans to drive visibility and revenue, monitoring label accounting, and working to secure exclusive audio and video content.




Qualifications:

• Previous professional experience related to the promotion, marketing, and/or product management of classical music
• Broad knowledge of classical music genres, composers, conductors, artists and labels
• Existing contacts with classical music publications and organizations
• Strong awareness of the digital music space in the form of digital music retailers and the various services and experiences they offer, general business trends, blogs, trade publications
• Impeccable communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong multi-tasking, monitoring, and follow-through on all projects. Ability to anticipate problems and take corrective action
• Energetic, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment, but also works well with minimal supervision
• Bachelor’s degree
