COLLEEN THEIS APPOINTED CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER OF THE ORCHARD

The Orchard’s Managing Director of UK & Europe moves into new role of COO based in New York

New York, NY and London, UK — August 6, 2012 — The Orchard, music industry pioneers since 1997, is pleased to announce that Colleen Theis, previously Managing Director of UK & Europe, has been named Chief Operating Officer for The Orchard.

Colleen will relocate to the US from The Orchard’s European Headquarters in London and will report to The Orchard’s CEO, Brad Navin. As COO, Colleen will oversee all client-facing departments for the company's global digital and physical distribution business, including Client Relations, Acquisition & Retention, Sales & Marketing and Film, TV & Advertising. She will continue to have oversight and responsibility for the UK & European teams.

With deep roots in the international music business, Colleen’s operating and distribution expertise brings added strength to the company’s overall global value proposition. Her oversight of The Orchard’s core distribution business will help strengthen its business operations and enhance The Orchard’s long-established global approach.

Colleen has spent the last twelve years living and working in the music industry in Europe. As of January 1, 2013 Colleen will work out of the NYC headquarters. The Orchard is currently interviewing candidates for the role of GM, UK & Europe.
